JOB
Summary:
Establish and maintain direct service activities for Georgetown Works (GW) Members through the matching of Core Employer and open market Job opportunities, support of job retention, and case management.
Represent Georgetown Works to current and prospective Members and Community Organizations to cultivate relationships and increase overall Membership. Manage and support the Member orientation and assessment processes. Identify partnership opportunities with Community Organizations to increase Membership and/or provide additional supporting services to Members.
PRINCIPLE DUTIES AND
Responsibilities:
Recruiting
Execute recruiting plans for all programs.
Develop relationships with organizations, community contacts, and individuals to increase referrals.
Track and report recruiting data.
Orientation and Assessment
Manage all orientation and assessment processes.
Maintain content used for orientation sessions; coordinate with other staff to provide content and participate in orientation.
Monitor process measures and make improvements as needed
Job Search
Teach and coach job search techniques, matching members' skills, education, work history, availability and transportation needs with job opportunities.
Guide Members in tasks such as email set-up, application procedures, typing and general test/questionnaire preparation, interviewing skills and attitude while providing support, encouragement and feedbackEstimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
