Nurse Practitioner
We are in need of a Nurse Practitioner, Children's Endocrine Clinic. Please let me know if you have any candidates with CDE who meet the requirements listed below. We will also accept RNs for this role but they must have CDE.
Nurse Practitioner,
The Nurse Practitioner in the RT 3B Clinics reports to the Clinic Manager. Under general supervision, the Nurse Practitioner delivers safe and effective care and interacts with other members of the health care team to achieve desired results. The Nurse Practitioner consistently models excellence in patient care and contributes to unit leadership. This role develops plans and implements a comprehensive education program for the endocrinology patient population, establishes and maintains staff development programs, and ensures adherence to standards of practice as required by JCAHO and ADA.

Minimum Training and Education -
Master's degree in Nursing from an accredited school of nursing and two years clinical experience required, at least one year of which must have been in a specialty area of care. Certification as a Nurse Practitioner specific to the area of employment required unless a new graduate. New graduates must be certification eligible upon employment, and obtain certification within six months of employment. Requires licensure as a Registered Nurse and hold official recognition as a Nurse Practitioner from the South Carolina Board of Nursing. Current Basic Life Support (BLS) required, either a certification from an American Heart Association (AHA) BLS for Healthcare Providers (or AHA recognized equivalent) or an American Red Cross CPR/AED for Professional Rescuer and Healthcare Provider.
Certification as a Nurse Practitioner specific to the area of employment required unless a new graduate. New graduates must be certification eligible upon employment, and obtain certification within six months of employment. Requires licensure as a Registered Nurse and hold official recognition as a Nurse Practitioner from the South Carolina Board of Nursing.
