Plaintiff's Litigation Paralegal
An established Georgetown Plaintiff's law firm seeks an experienced litigation paralegal to assist attorneys with complex Personal Injury and Medical Malpractice litigation.
Qualifications:
oMinimum of three (3) years experience in civil litigation or insurance defense
oType 55
wpm
Personal Injury and Medical Malpractice Litigation experience is a MUST
oDemonstrated ability to interact professionally with others, both internally and externally
oProficient in Microsoft office
oAbility to prioritize and execute tasks in a timely manner
oAble to work as a team member
oStrong communication skills (written and verbal)
oExcellent organization skills
oExcellent computer skills
oFlexibility to work overtime when necessary
oParalegal certification or four-year degree
oExperience with case management (PracticeMaster preferred)
MUST have a proven record assisting attorneys with all aspects and stages of case management, from initial evaluation to post-trial tasks.
DAY TO DAY
Responsibilities:
oIntake clients and speak to witnesses to gather information
oDraft correspondence, pleadings, discovery, motions, and other litigation documents
oObtain, organize, and analyze case-related documents and records
oIdentify and coordinate expert witnesses
oPrepare cases for trial, including compiling a trial notebook and coordinating witnesses
oAssist attorneys during trial
oMaintain all information regarding client matters in the case management database
